부조적 조형구조 (Relief Formation Structure)

작품설명

나 자신의 존재와 세계를 연결하는 공간 속에서 평면과 입체, 빛과 색채, 화면과 색 면 등의 재구성을 통해 다양한 이미지를 표현하는 작업이며 이러한 공간적 상상력은 무엇보다 한국의 전통문화를 소재로 하여 작업하려고 하였다.

한국적 전통 모티브가 가진 구조적인 조형성에 착안을 두어 각각의 형태들을 조합, 해체하는 과정을 통해 다층적 공간의 확장적인 조형성을 표현해 보려고 하였으며 이번 전시에서는 특히 평면의 공간에 입체적인 구조의 형태를 형상화하려고 시도 하였다. 화면 공간을 자유롭게 변형하고 입체화시키면서 그 안에 전통적인 채색화의 색채 감각과 이를 가능하게 해주는 나무나 플리스틱 등의 여러 가지 재료적 특성을 적극적으로 구사하여 기존 화면의 틀을 확장해 보려고 하였다.

이는 전통적인 것의 정형화된 재현이나 회화나 조각, 설치 등 탈 장르를 의식한 물리적 융합을 뛰어넘어 나만의 주관적이고 개별화된 조형 방식으로 전통과 현대라는 미묘하고 상충적인 가치에 대한 독창적인 해석을 보여주고자 하며 그로부터 얻어진 고유의 아름다움을 현대적인 시대 감성으로 풀어내고 동시에 현대를 살아가는 나와 우리의 모습을 상징적으로 해석해 보고자 한다.

Description

In a space that connects my own existence with the world, I expressed various images through reconstruction of planes, three dimensions, light and color, screens and colors, and this spatial imagination was to work with traditional Korean culture above all.

Based on the structural molding of traditional Korean motifs, the exhibition attempted to express the extended molding of multilayered spaces through the process of combining and dismantling each form, and in this exhibition, in particular, attempted to shape the shape of a three-dimensional structure in a flat space.

While freely transforming and stereoscopicizing the screen space, it was tried to expand the framework of the existing screen by actively using various material characteristics such as wood and plastic that enable the coloration of traditional coloring in it.

This goes beyond the structured reproduction of traditional things, paintings, sculptures, installations, and other genre-conscious physical fusions to show a unique interpretation of the subtle and conflicting values of tradition and modernity in its own subjective and individualized molding manner, and at the same time to unravel the inherent beauty of tradition and modernity with modern period sensibilities and at the same time symbolically interpret our appearance in modern life.
